Cherry Bread
By Stephanie Boyle
If you love cherries like I do, you'll absolutely love this bread. You can make a few modifications to this one, for example I find the walnuts are great in the recipe however not required. Also, every now and then you can throw a few extra cherries in but like the nuts, it is not required. Hope you enjoy :)
Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 small bottle (6oz) Maraschino cherries
2 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
2. Pour juice from cherries into measuring cup and fill with milk to make 1 cup.
3. Mix in order given, let stand for 20 mins.
4. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan for 45 mins. Check with toothpick.
5. Enjoy!!
